Johannes Vermeer is Delft's local hero. His most famous painting is 'View if Delft', which captures Delft on a gloomy summer afternoon. The Vermeer Centre shows the master and his craftmanship. The Vermeer Centre houses a replica of Vermeer's studio, the laboratory with temporaray exhibitions and a multi media show give an insight in 17th century paintings and techniques.
