Thank you for rating my report on El Gouna (while I was still writing it :)! The class-differences in Egypt are absolutely enormous. Even in El Gouna you can find little slum-villages (with fences around) where the workers live. The people also work really long days! But you're right, the Egyptian people dependant on tourism (which is quite a lot at the moment), have suffered during the war on Iraq since tourists don't dare to visit anymore. Still, staying in complete luxury, knowing that the people who service you earn only 1 Euro per 15-hour day, does make me feel awkward.
