Hi everybody,
I did spend a couple of months in Australia and it seems that the beaches got me hocked! Everybody keeps on telling me that Thailand has even better ones. So ... yeah, whats your favourite beach in the world? Lots of countries with great beaches. Brazil, OZ, Thai. What are your best loved ones?
My is so far White Heaven Beach in Australia. Nothing beats that so far!!

I'm with you, Whitehaven Beach is fantastic and definately one of the best!
But it all depends if you like a few extras whilst taking in your beach location. If that's the case mine would be Playa del Carmen and Playa Norte on Isla Mujeres in the Yucatan in Mexico, Rio's famous Copacabana beach for the sheer amount of activity and daily life that goes on, Surfers Paradise for one long white sandy strip, Bali's Jimabaran Bay, the list just goes on....give me a patch of sand and I am a happy traveller I guess.
Cheers,
Kerrie

Yeh!
If it's said that Thai beaches are great then I can tell Ngapali bech in Burma are amazing!!! Clean, white sand, almost empty!!!
And I'm afraid in couple of year the loneless of this beach will be broken.
Harry up unless it get crowded!!!

Phi Phi Island was a slice of heaven until Leo went there and shot that horrid film of his. Absolutly! However, Phi Phi is still worth a journey. The landscape is absolutly stunning and a must see. I liked Phi Phi because there are no motor vehicles alowed on the island compared to Kho Samui with its horrible traffic. Kho lanta is a good place to relax after escaping the mass tourists on Phi Phi don. Just 2 hours by ferry!

I agree with Kerrie about the beaches in Mexico. Playa Norte on Isla Mujeres is one of the finest small beaches that I have run across. Also, those in the Cancun area can visit Playa Caracol, which has plenty of white sand and great romantic scenery. There is just something special about the sun and the beach in that area of the world that drives people into fits of romantic (or should I say lustful) activity.

I love beaches as, for exemple ...
Kho Phi Phi in Thailand.
Ca'naa in Vietnam.
Figueres in Catalunya.
Olympos in Turkey.
Aljezur in Portugal.

Wow!
This beach looks definatelly amazing! What a small country. I learned that they speak Portugese. Do u think it might be possible to get arround with english? This small island may not have an international airport. How do you get on the island?

I loved Ao Nang beach in Krabi, Thailand. Went right before rainy season and had the place to ourselves. Beautiful limestone cliffs line the shoreline. Clear waters. Some of the best beaches and water I have seen. Highly recommend.
Also some parts of Langkawi island are nice. Langkawi is in Malaysia.
