Is Omorate a nearby town? plancarpin - Jan, 31 2009 07:01am Jill, yes Omorate town is just 5 miles away (walking); Omo river flows through Omorate. It was the only day in my trip where the temperature reached 40° Celcius (104° F) a real struggle for life!
