information about france  L'IsleFrance, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur
I'sle sur Sorgue, little town close to Avignon, boasts a very active flea market every sunday.
here are old bowls, used in the 20es, usually around Lyon. In the south of France, the tradiotonnal bowl game is called pétanque, and is played with small and lighter polished bowl.

JP, pretty structure - do you play pétanque?

plancarpin - Oct, 27 2008 06:10pm

yuliangpang - Oct, 28 2008 12:10pm

JP, are these bowls or balls? I would think it would be difficult to roll some of them.

plancarpin - Oct, 30 2008 12:10pm
Jill, they are bowls..dating back from 1920 and around..the average size is like a pomelo...but much heavier..and less juicy! ;-)
