Hi Sabine,
I hope you are well.
When I mentioned my feelings about Safaris, it was not meant to be a criticism. Everyone has their right to travel the way they prefer. And I am very happy to hear that your trip was a good one, and you only used spotlights to a limited extent and to be safe and get to the lodge safely.
It was only me, who has always asked questions like: 'should I expect to see other vehicles around?' or 'how disturbing will it be to the animals?', etc.
And I would recommend game viewing on foot. In Botswana, in the Okavango Delta, they do it from small mokoro (canoe) and do some walking on the islands. With an unarmed guide. That is a real thrill... ;)
Kindest regards
Krys

Thanks for your long comment on my report. I don't think I need to tell you to go back as there is plenty more as worth seeing even as Taormina. The only difficulty is deciding what to miss, unless you can ever get a mega-stay.
Cheers

Hi there :))
Yes I am having good time here (except that is raining outside right now). I have never been in this region so way of traveling is new for me. Sometimes there is not even a word in Latin alphabet !! But the people are so lovely here, always someone is ready to help.
Have a great day

cemeteries

Hi Sabine,
I have recently been to Warwick. On the way to the famous castle, I saw a cemetery, whose graves' inscriptions dates back to 18th century! I have not explored it properly, I just saw a few graves from the pavement, and I am sure that there might be older stones there.
I have seen a few cemeteries in a number of countries, where they were tourist attractions. I remember one in Paris, and one in Havana...
Kind regards
Krys
