Bahamas vs Egypt
Posted: 2005-03-01 12:02 AM
Bonjour Gloria,
Our trip to The Bahamas was very magical. It is truly one of the many small paradises on earth. The people are friendly and the island beautiful. It's a shame that the ozone problem is affecting quite seriously this part of the world.
As per your trip to Egypt, I envy you. I believe that most people dreamed of being in Egypt when they were younger, and yes it was and still is one of my dream countries to visit. There are so many places to go and so little time. :-) You have great pictures, I can't wait for you report to learn more.
Travel safely

thanks for the welcome :)
I know, Turkey is beautiful, i've lived here for 9 years now, and its more a home to me than Germany is.
I've posted 2 pictures, theyre not the best, but the best i can do for now. I'll take better pictures in June.

Hi GJ,
Congratulations on reaching the top 10 Globo's - well done for all your wonderful contributions and delightful pictures.
I shall be inactive during March whilst I return to Thailand and visit China - but I hope to log a few reports and some pics then. On my return I must go through all my old slides and pics over the past 20 years or so and really bore everyone with my travels from yesteryear!
Take care, and congrats on the new GJ pic too!
Cheers, Brit

Wonderful Gloria

I see from your pictures that you had a good time in Egypt too. I remember the long roads in the vast and barren desert and so many temples and moshees to see every day. The heat, dust and stench got a bit on my nerves sometimes but it was all worth it, considering the unique architecture and ancient history. Your ***** pic of the Hatshepsut Temple and many are increadible!

Dear Gloria,my enjoyment with all of your picks continued-went through all of them several times.
It was wonderful, that it rained in Cairo,i would imagine the city in the rain on your images.Must be quiet a rare event in that part of the World.I'm very happy for you,for your vacation and that you had catch it all on your images;- even the rain streaks in the desert.
Wish you well
Boris
