but no, why should I think you have to remove your pic? Usually it is very interesting to see two different pics of the same subject. This happens quite often on Globo. ;-) I like both of your shots (even with different plants :)), Theo's and your's.

Hi Bea,

The Globosapiens' staff announces four awards each month to members: Picture of the Month (POM), Album of the Month (AOM), Report of the Month (ROM), and Member of the Month (MOM). After the awards are chosen, the front page of Globosapiens is changed to reflect that.

You will notice that the penguin photo on the home page is a POM of July 2009, then you have profile pictures of four latest MOMs below, and then again below an extract of the ROM and finally four pictures from the last AOM. The AOM's pictures shift whenever the home page is refreshed.

I think there are some benefits of getting an award. For example, an MOM Award typically leads to an extension of premier membership.

thanks for your kind entry in my guestbook. :) I have read your question for Krys about the album of the month. May I explain? Each month, Andy (the 'owner' of Globo) chooses 4 prize winners: for the album, the picture, the member, the report of the month. You can see the actual winners on the front page of globo, the profile pic of the member of the month will even stay there for 4 months... With your stunning contribution you are a hot candidate for 3 of these prizes! Poor Andy will be spoilt for choice. ;-)
