Reichstag - The Political Center of Germany's by siffer

Berlin - Germany, Berlin The home of Germany's elected parliament, the Bundestag, is the most visited government building in the world, over 3 million visitors per annum. Construction was finished in 1894 after creation of the German Empire signalled a need for a larger building. The infamous Reichstag fire of 28 Feb 1933 blamed on the Communists allowed the Nazi party to pass laws outlawing political opposition. Hitler of course opposed the parliament of the Weimar Republic but preserved the Reichstag because he liked the classic architecture.
