Thanks for your comments on my report! We were surprised that more people did not speak English, given that all government is done in English. Most everyone could speak a few words, but it was more difficult to communicate than we had supposed. We had arranged for a Guide in each of the cities we went to and hired a car and driver, which can be done very inexpensively in India. I wrote a Report on Ranakapur that has some dialog about the overall experience.
Our trip to India is probably my favorite of all my travels. It is a beautiful country, to be quickly savored before the Western World overtakes it! I highly reccomend it.
