Dear GLOBOsapiens Members:
We need your help!!!
The following link (http://www.htmresearch.atfreeweb.com/Hua/index.htm) is a survey being conducted by a graduate student at Purdue University. This research has been reviewed and approved by Purdue University Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects and is not in any way affiliated with any travel companies.
This questionnaire seeks your opinions on your experience in this community and will take approximately five to ten minutes. Your input is important so please try to answer all questions. Be sure to click on the submit button when you finish.
After the survey is done, five participants from all the respondents will be randomly selected to receive a travel guidebook of their choice as a reward for their assistance! Maximum value of each guidebook is $40.
If you have any questions or technical problems while completing this survey, please post a message following this thread or send me a personal message for prompt response.

Good day, GLOBOsapiens!
This is the first update of the survey! After just one day, I have received 44 respondents in total and 5 is from our community.
I still need more people to kindly participate. Please take 5 minutes of your valuable time and answer the questions while gain the chance to win a travel guidebook of your choice. I am REALLY appreciated it!

The survey asks us to rate our "GLOBO" travel community. It will compare four other similar sites to us. None of the the other sites are realy better than GLOBO (I say), it (us) cannot even be compared properly because we are a very SPECIAL community serving our EXACT expectations but also developing and expanding our needs as required.
None of the others do that like we do!
- some are not mainly "picture" orientated sites like GLOBO
- one has no contact to staff!
- others need more private info like a birthday and exact name
- one site doesnt do pictures at all
- some have NO extra services like chat or comment
- the others do not have a rating system other than for members themselves!
- statistics might show others better but GLOBO is the youngest and best!
- the others dont reward properly
- the others are less artistic and less person orientated
- many more comparisons still to be stated...
Whatever, this small student survey eventually says should not really effect GLOBO's welbeing and very good tradition for the good. Members please take/do this survey. It will help anyway anyhow, membersand staff together to make GLOBOsapiens better!

Hello ranvinderkumanrsi and rangutan,
Sorry to reply so late and thank you for your interest in this research!
The main objective of the study is to investigate how members perception of the digital representaion of other members in a virtual travel community influences their overall satisfaction. I have no intention to compare GLOBO with the three websites (although some members may be attracted to the other three through the survey). If there is any confusion caused by my previous post, I am really sorry about that!

That's OK and better but HEY, Hua Jiang, we would like to also see some of your travel pictures too, perhaps a profile picture and atleast two reports too. I recommend this, only then will you know what a travel community is REALLY about!!! Have you ever travelled much between Asia and USA? Also, we particularly would definitely like to see the result of the survey and your report!

I have got 131 response in total. I will accounce the account names of the winners by next Monday and post the brief summary of the result as soon as I finish the statistical analysis.
