I was looking for an app on facebook where I could import content such as the Globo reports, album and photos into my Facebook profile but I think there isn't one yet. Other travel sites have made it possible to share their content on their blogs and travel pages by using RSS and it's great that Globo also offer this RSS feed. I would think that a Globo app would help promote the globo community on Facebook and other social networking sites.
Just my thoughts... and two cents worth.

I would like to see some integration with Facebook as well. Facebook has grown so quickly in the last year. I think the exposure for Globo would be fantastic and I would enjoy being able to link from one to the other!

I would object strongly to any integration with sites such as facebook, I have looked at this site a couple of times and am of the opinion that it is best suited to mindless teenagers looking for a date, Globo is for people who like to travel and share their pics and experiences with like minded people, I have never been accused of being a killjoy and that is not my intention but in this case if Globowere to integrate with any of these childish websites I would resign forthwith, your comments please fellow members. Tony, while I would agree that MySpace is mostly young children, the fast growing segment on Facebook is the 35-55 age group. I belong to an all female backpack group called "Babes in the Woods" with an age range from 16 to 60. We maintain our group on Facebook and it works nicely.
I think what FieryFox was suggesting was a way to link items we post on Globo to our Facebook pages. This wouldn't mean shifting the contain or our interaction between ourselves to Facebook. The impact on Globosapiens could be totally transparent. I agree with you that this website should remain unchanged.
I would love to feature the reports I write here on my Facebook page! --- Life is not measured by the breaths you take but by the moments that take your breath away. Profile Pic: Tikal, Guatemala

While I respect the previous comments I see no reason why articles and pics that are uploaded to globo could not be also uploaded to other sites if that is what is desired, why should members of globo be at the risk of being transferred to other sites not of their choosing?, if you wish to publish reports and pics on other sites, feel free, just don't include me or my pics, they may not be very good but they are mine!! Long Live Globo!!. --- I am no longer a stranger in a strange land.

Hi there,
It is an interesting issue. Thinking about it, I guess it would not do too much harm to have some integration with Facebook.
The question is what content exactly and where do we stop.... there are Facebook, Hi5, orkut, LinkedIn, Twitter, (I believe we would not do it with MySpace). I think we would need to be very specific about both what and where.
The other question is what would be technically possible - surely this is for Andy to let us know. Bearing in mind Tony's thoughts, I guess the integration could be optional for each piece of content through, for example, a confirmation/option button. This way, members who would like to extend their audience to Facebok, et al, would not have to copy/paste to the other sites.
Kind regards

Having read the comment from the comment from Krys I would like somebody to explain to me what would be the point of integration, If any Globies would like to upload pics or comments that have already been published on globo what is to stop them? I firmly believe that it's a free world on the net (or it should be) how hard can it be to upload you pics/comments to another site if you so desire? without involving Globo, am I missing something here?, Cheers, puzzled Tony. --- I am no longer a stranger in a strange land.

Hello Everyone
In my opinion Globosapiens is a perfect travel website, so having said that how can you improve on perfection?
Need I say more? Best Regards,Fred.

I agree with everything said here - this site is perfect! There isn't a thing I would change. The integration with Facebook would be transparent to Globo members in my thinking. It would simply allow what I post here to link there. As am example, Snapfish links to facebook. When I upload photos in Snapfish for printing, they can also be seen in Facebook. If you logged into Snapfish, you would never see the link or know that it exists.
While Tony's point is well taken, I can always post twice, but I can't post reports there, with photos embedded. I was thought that FieryFox's idea was a good one.
I also see Kys' point - where does it stop! There are all sorts of sites popping up! It was just a thought, easily discarded! --- Life is not measured by the breaths you take but by the moments that take your breath away. Profile Pic: Tikal, Guatemala
