Porsgrunn - Norway, Telemark This is the only catholic church in Telemark, and was constructe-d and completed in 1899 by Haldor Børve, inspired by medieval stave churches.

rangutan - May, 05 2006 07:05am Terge, amazing that the structure's timber holds so many decades. I asume the dark colour is from some kind of tar or other protective coating. Scene is also wonderfully framed by the two trees :-)
