Denizli is the home to one of the strangest geologic shows in the world. Hot springs, limestone-like formations, bathing pools, culture, lots to see here. This is also the home of the famed Pamukele and the calcium covered cliffs. You cannot bathe in the pools anymore due to people destroying them. There is little to see in the town itself, but this is still a nice place to relax and spend a few days.

Favourite spots: |
I enjoyed sitting at the top of the cliffs and watching the sun set. Probably one of the most beautiful sunsets I have seen. The cliffs of Pamukele rise out of nowhere, so you see a valley of utter beauty as the sun gives an eeire glow off the white and blue pools. Unforgettable.

What's really great: |
There was definitely a family feel here, more-so than in other parts of the country. We were "trapped" there for two days longer than we wanted. It was census day and by law, everyone had to be home to be ready to answer the phone/door to answer questions. That being said, no bus or taxi. We were pretty upset about it, but saw it was out of our hands. People were very friendly to us, showed us around town, into homes, and other obscure spots. Very refreshing.
