Guilin is a beautiful city in South of China, It's takes about 3 hours from my City Nanning by car. So I always drive to there on weekend, I have been to there several times, and I think i will never sicken of this city.
|
Guilin is famous with it's uniquely beautiful landscapes, it's a historic and cultural city. Elephant Trunk Hill is regarded as the symbol of Guilin landscape. Every one who mentioned about Guilin, Elephant Trunk Hill is the first world appeared in our brain. It's resembling an elephant leisurely sucking water from the river with its long trunk. As long as you see this hill, that means u have been to Guilin absolutely.

Favourite spots: |
We enjoying the picturesque landscapes on both sides of Lijiang River by air-conditioned boat from Guilin to Yangshuo. the boat start at 8:30 am evey morning, it will take about 4 to 5 hours to stay in the boat and enjoy the scenery. But if you have enough time, I suggest you walk along with the Li River to Yangshuo, it's another different experiences, tired, but feels good.

What's really great: |
After arrived at Yangshuo, there is one place you should visit, it’s WEST STREET, it’s a short street ( somebody told me it’s a long street, but not like that to me) where you can shopping and have a nice dinner there. I like here because of the food here. BEER FISH, the food I want to commend. It’s fish, and cooked with beer. In fact I don’t know how to cooked it, but it’s the most delicious fish that I would never forgot.

|
Sights: |
The Longji Terrace Field There is a group of large-scaled rice terraces built into the hillside. Some of the terraces look like great chains, other look like ribbons. It’s a pity, I have not done a good work for taking some photos here, I think I need more training. P.S. this photo is not mine.

|
Other recommendations: |
The Reed Flute Cave.
In fact, I don't like this place, it’s dark, and wet, you can not see anything except some stones.
But I heard of that it was formed 600,000 years ago by a cave river. It is famous for its speleothems.
