I dint know the extent of which war can damage a country until i visted Kigali Rwanda where millions of innocent people mostly women and children lost their lives through genocide.

Rwanda is a beautiful country in the central africa. The capital city is Kigali. As i approched the airport i could see small houses from the air . The drive form the airport to the city is not so pleasant. I spent the night a Chezlando hotel which costs about 40USD.............. The next three days i spend them touring the country, i went to nyanza.....The land of the king, Here i visited the kings palace. Nyungwe rain forest is awesome, there is a waterfall and the birds singing is memorable, i also had a chance to see the columbus monkey. I visited lake kivu and spent the night in a town called gisenyi. on coming back i went up the virunga mountain to see the Gorillas. The primates are big and very friendly........as long as you dont scare them with flash lights from your cameras........ Visiting kigali cannot be complete without visiting the Genocide memorial. The visit to the memorial made me realsise that we need more love and peace for each other to make a better world. Rwanda should be visited by anyone with love for culture.

NO PHOTOS NEEDED!
As a first report *** very good. Thank you so much Caroline for submitting this very short but first report of Rwanda. Only two members briefly passed through that country and of all of us serious travelers we can till now only show a few gorilla pictures. On behalf of the GLOBO community thanks and I apologize for the comments below, they may have cameras but have no idea of life outside the western world! |

Pictures always improve a report but a report without any is better than no report at all.
What you say is very interesting but it would help if you tell us more about the hotels and restaurants.
I always love to see a new member writing a report straight away and I reckon that should give you an extra star. |

Caroline,
Good to see your first report. It is a very personal account and I can imagine what impression this made on you. It would be nice if you could add some more specific detail so that your report could be used as a guide for travellers visiting Rwanda. Maybe you could upload some photos. |
