Pokhara valley (827m.) lies in 200 Km west of Kathmandu valley. The valley is the most popular destination in Nepal after Kathmandu. It is the second biggest city of Nepal where around 134000 inhabitants live. This city became the most interesting especially when explorers found that it is the only valley in the world from where one can see snowcapped mountains higher than 8000m. From below 1000 m. These mountains lie in about 25 to 35 km. Arial distance. This valley is the most famous trekking starting gateway for world famous trekking areas such as to Fishtail, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri area. More than 65% of the total trekkers of Nepal trek in Annapurna region. It is only 35 minutes flight and 6 hours drive from the capital city Kathmandu. There are around 25 flights and several deluxe tourist bus services daily. There are hundreds of tourist standard hotels including non star to five star levels. All kinds of tourist facilities such as, foreign currency exchange, ACAP entry permit, visa extension, flight ticket reconfirmation etc. are available in this multi -cultural city. This city popularly known as City of Tourism is absolutely free from any type of pollution.

Budget Hotel
Hotel Lake Side
Established in 1970, Hotel Lake Side is the oldest budget hotel in Pokhara. Lake Side has twenty budget rooms with good view of the lake. The mountains are visible from most of the rooms. It has a large peaceful garden and a restaurant facing the lake.
Luxury Hotels
Fish Tail Lodge
Fish Tails is the first hotel built to serve the tourists in Pokhara. It is positioned at the other side of the lake; guests are shuttled over to the hotel by a rope-drawn wooden raft. From the hotel there are superb views of the mountains, specially at morning when the mountains are reflected in the still waters of the lake

Restaurants: |
Pokhara has an excellent selection of restaurants serving Italian, Mexican, Nepali, Chinese, Indian and Continental. Often the food is the same quality in many of the places, but the atmosphere and the clientele. The main restaurant area is in the Lakeside area, but there are several good places in Damside.
The restaurants near the lake are friendly place and are good for finding a trekking partner.
There is not much happening in Pokhara after 11 pm.
Cheap is under Rs 150. Low between Rs 150 and Rs 250 and Medium is Rs 250 to Rs 500.
