my 3200 km car drive to Hyderabad, Tirupati and chennai with my family and my friend Mukuls family. we started on 10th may and were back by 24th may'08. This was my first holiday where i travelled such long distance by car.

me and my friend mukul decided to travel to tirupati during last summer holidays and we had a fortnight of pure fun. Since our car was small we had virtually no space left. So much so that we made my friend son Utkarsh to sit on a cushion over the hand brake.

hey everything was special, the preparations for 3200 Kms car ride, all the planning-every hour was planned, budgeting (ofcourse went over budget). All the spots we visited were special but gues kids enjoyed feeding meat to crocodiles

we enjoyed the night drive through outskirts of Pench National Park with expectations of seeing a wild tiger. The journey from nagpur to Hyderabad was interesting. the salar jung museum at hyderabad made me realise about his passion of collecting thinsg from world over. The Film Studio at Hyderabad. Our main destination was Lord Venkateshwara Temple at Tirumala, Tirupati. We could pay homage twice.

In india you can find hotels/ motels all types of budget even free if you can stay in a gurudwara (Sikh Religious Place). since we had a shoe string budget, we stayed at my cousins place at hyderabad, we stayed at a hotel at tirupati and then at a cottage at tirumala (range - INR 1000 to 1200 for AC Room). Our friends at chennai made us stay at their Flat in chennai. We had to spend two nights at motels on the way at Nagpur, Nellore, Jham
