I saw the last note about Yangshuo which is from 2002. So this is my feeling about Yangshuo 7 years later! There are too many Chinese tourist groups in Yangshuo town, especially West street, which now has many KTV.

I have been to Yangshuo several times as I am a Cantonese who enjoys to travel around South China. Also I came here with the Hash House Harriers in Guangzhou two times. Both times we don't stay in Yanghuo town, which is too noise and boring. We stay at the Outside In and Yangshuo Mountian Retreat, which are both outside of Yangshuo Town. The Outside is good for chill out and not expensive. The Yangshuo Mountain Retreat is a famous place on the Draon River that has a lot of foreign couples and familys. We also have dinner at Luna Italian restaurant in Moon Hill Village which is very good. There are many more choices outside of the town in Yangshuo than West street which is already to touristy.
