I might go in September, or August. Not sure about the free time I can get from my manager. This will be seen in the next few weeks. Currently I am collecting information about South America and the Pan Americana.
Daniserralta... you have spent 24 hours in a bus?! Asia is the next thing I want to backpack after South America. Do you have a good carrier at hand for the internal flights? Not sure if it would not be better to buy an old car and just do a road trip like swarat has suggested?!!

Hi PeterPan!
Yes i did! From Hanoi (Vietnam) to Viantiane (Laos).
Hard but an Amazing trip. ;)
I think that the best carrier to flight in the south east asia has to be Thai Airways but i'm not sure cause i never flight till is impossible to go by any other way.
I'm agree with the idea of buy an old car if you have enough money or just use the public transport.
What a wonderful is take the 24 hours bus trough the jungle with great views just you and 23 locals doing all kind of noises, with the pigs and chicken at the back of the bus, all plenty of stuff everywhere, smelling bad but sharing your travel experiences, sharing your free time, sharing laughs with the locals!!!
Amazing memories from my last journey.
Bye!
Dani!

Hi guys,
How are the plans going? I'v been offline moving house (no fun).
Dani, did the email I sent give you any tips?
Peterpan & Swarat, how are your plans going? Thanks for your comments re my pics. I'm glad they are an inspiration, it is an amazing continent. With any luck I'm going back to Brazil in March 2004.
Your talk about the chickens etc on the bus reminds me of our trip from Cusco - Puno where we were in the 2nd seat from the front and the local Senora got on and proceeded to chop up here llama leg and wrap it up in paper to sell to the bus travellers. Yuk, I passed.
Cheers,
Kerrie --- Where to next?

Yeah Kerrie!
Your e-mail was really helpful, thanks again for your tips.
Well and for your reports, pictures, etc... about Peru ... all really helpful to plan my next trip there.
I will go the 18th June to Lima to start from there my first South American adventure.
The Machu Pichu, the Inti Raymi, Cuzco, Arequipa, Iquitos, Puno, the Titicac Lake, Ica, the Amazones River ....
Wow! i'm really excited!
I want to go away again, travel more, go further, explore, live ....
Yeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!

Hello everybody!
I would like to travel to South America from mid-July till mid-August. Actually I planned to do this trip together with a friend of mine. She lives in Ecuador and I met her 3 years ago when I was in Ecuador for the first time. We wanted to start at the coast of Ecuador and travel by bus to Peru, Chile and Bolivia. Unfortunately, communication to Ecuador seems to be quite difficult - it is hard to reach her by email or telephone. I would really like to do this trip but I don't want to travel alone - that's too dangerous.

Hi, I am going to Peru on the 28th July, and will be going to the Manu jungle for 8 days, and then hiking the inca Trail. After this i´m travelling to Ecuador (quito) and then onto the Galapagos Islands. Have you sorted out your trip? If you need any help, i can recommend some good companies.

Hi danibear!
Yes, in the meantime, I have sorted out my trip. On 14th July, I am flying to Guayaquil. I am planning to travel to Peru by bus and to stay there for a month. I have a friend in Lima who wants to travel around with me. Later I am going back to Quito to another friend of mine where I am staying for 4 - 6 weeks. If you like, we could do something together - I am still looking for travel partners :-)
