Since I spend so much time in planes, I would like to share some of my flight experiences. I'm trying to write it in a more "reader-friendly" format as the way I have them right now, it seems so sterile (a curse of being in the medical profession).

Check-in/Lounge
Check-in was a breeze using one of United Airlines' kiosks. Since I did not have a lot of time to spare, I decided to forego a visit to the Red Carpet Club and went straight to the departure gate.
Boarding
The gate agent announced a slight delay as the flight crew was coming in from a delayed flight. However, the departure time was pushed several times in 5 or 10-minute increments. Once the crew finally arrived, boarding started a few minutes later. The flight finally pulled away from the gate at 2207, 65 minutes past the original departure time.
Journey
First class has 2 rows with a 1-2 configuration. The published seat pitch is 37 inches. I was seated in 2C, an aisle seat on the right side of the aircraft. This particular United First cabin is actually a United Express explus product, i.e., regional jets with first class and Economy Plus seating.
Drinks and snacks were promptly offered. The flight attendant service was quick and efficient, which allowed passengers to relax during this late flight.
The cabin was clean and the carpeting was in good condition. My tray table was not level so I did not place my drink on it. The lavatory, located at the rear part of the aircraft for use by both first and economy class passengers, was clean and functional.
Arrival
The pilot managed to "make up time" during flight. The plane touched down at 0047, making it approximately 46 minutes late. Passengers had to wait a few minutes before deplaning as the baggage handlers collected gate checked baggage. Passengers used the stairs and was led from the tarmac to baggage claim by United Airlines' ground staff.
Overall
Even though the flight was delayed for more than an hour, the gate agent did a fairly good job in giving passengers updates regarding the flight. The flight attendant in first class was very attentive so this also helped ease the annoyance of the delay.
