You can lose everything, but nobody will take away what you saw and what you experienced...

Nov 08, 2023 10:00 PM Tomorrow we will see the land again...
Sixth day at sea. Imagine that since we leaved Canary Island till now (5 days) we don't have any TV news from any country. The channels on our monitors in the cabins are just dark... On other cruise companies it happened, but only for 1-2 days. I think that the company is saving money on the satellite connection... But the sun is shining, the temperature is 30 deg. Celsius and the humidity is rising... Tomorrow we will see the land on the horizon!

Nov 05, 2023 10:00 PM Polish artists on our ship - Bravo!
We have 3200 passengers aboard. On our ship I met few travellers from Poland. But the nicest meeting was the one with two gentlemen playing cello on the stage of our theater. They performed Bach and Vivaldi with good sense of humor. Then the music from well known movies... I can say that it was the nices evening on this ship!

Nov 04, 2023 10:00 PM Captain Stefano...
This is very nice and modern ship. It take us six days to cross the Atlantic. Every one of these sox days the crew offers many different activities (eating four times a day is most popular! :) But there are also shows, concerts and workshops. When we crossed the Tropics of cancer the Neptune arrived on board to give to the captain the key to the ocean and to baptize the volunteers. As a frequent passenger I have been invited to the "welcome back cocktail" to enjoy the music and glass of champagne and to have the picture with the captain taken. I wanted to tell the captain that he is very valuable person (they charge 22 euro for the small picture) but he quickly escaped...

Nov 02, 2023 10:00 PM Arecife on Lanzarotte
Lanzarotte volcanic, bare island with many volcanic cones and white houses in the limited settlements. When we docked at 8 am it was warm but cloudy. But an hour later when we disembarked sun appeared and we had a pleasant 1,5 km walk near elegantarina to the Arecife town. It has nice palm- fringed promenade around the Charco lagoon. Little, cozy old town close to the St Gines church and St Gabriel Fort on the islet connected to the city by two bridges. Yoy cav visit the fort museum for free because the ticket machine is broken (normally it costs 3 euro. It is worth also to walk the elegant coastal promenade
At 5 pm we will leave Lanzarotte fo 6- days Atlantic crossing. No free internet connection from.the ship, so please be patient. Next message will be from the carribean! :)

Nov 01, 2023 10:00 PM Lovely day in Santa Cruz
I have been here many times, but if the sun is shining (yes, it is!) the Tenerife looks great... So I took the walk in the sun to Auditorio, the Palmito Park nearby... Then I boarded Trinidad tramheadind up to historic San Cristobal de la Laguna. Such a tour for just 1,35 euro. But let you know that in the restored La Laguna cathedral they charge 5 euro entry fee. What a shame!
I was strolling instead the narrow streets of the old city. No tourists at all! Nice atmosphere... Back in Santa Cruz I found Carnival Museum (they have second famous carnival after Rio and megamarket where they sell inexpensive Spanish white rum. The rum was smuggled to the ship. What a day!

Oct 29, 2023 10:00 PM Barcelona once again...
In the afternoon sun appeared. I took the bua 46 to move from the Prat airport to Plaza Espanya. They charge 2,40 euro for single ticket. You can buy also day ticket for 10, 40 eu but not on the bus - only in the subway stations.
Barca is the city with a soul! I like it so much. Once again I went to Catalunya Square, Triumf Arch, Sagrada Familia enjoying the sun and warm weather. Then I took the long walk through the Europa Bridge to the cruise port to board my giant ship.
It will depart at 5 pm after the drill. Two next days we will spend at sea, sailing to Islas Canarias...

Oct 27, 2023 08:00 PM New trip - escaping from the
November in Poland is a sad month: we experience rains, cold and short days. In mid-October we had a few sunny days, which I took advantage of to work in Wojtkówka, where roses were still blooming. But the rainy and windy last decade of October confirmed my belief that it was time to pack my backpack again and fly south. This time it will be a cruise from Spain to the Canary Islands and further - across the Atlantic to the Caribbean. I will say goodbye to the ship in Miami, Florida and then return to Poland via a low-cost airline via Oslo. I showed the travel route on the map

Oct 06, 2023 08:00 PM Trenitalia to Milano
Today at breakfast I met a nice and experienced travellers from Poland. How it was possible that it happened only on last morning of the 14-days cruise? Anyway it was very pleasant (and funny) meeting. After the cruise Teresa and Chris were heading by ferry to Corsica. Bon voyage new friends! At 10am. I took all my stuff and said goodbye to "Favolosa" - the low quality service ship. Right on the other side of the terminal a Costa flagship "Smeralda" was docking. It is huge! (see picture) Maybe I will have a chance to sail also on it... Half an hour walk to the railway station. Next inexpensive regional train (16 euro ticket) was departing on 12.40 and arrived to Milan Centrale at 15.35. Right from the big station building there are stops of shuttle buses heading to Bergamo low-cost airport. This bus is overpriced - 12 euro per person, but it is direct TV service. I hope to be on time for my flight to Gdansk :)

Oct 05, 2023 08:00 PM New face of Marseille
We dock in Marseille. I have been here many times (first time in 1974) and every time I try to discover something new. After substantial breakfast I took the walk ftom the ship to the port gate. There is a stop of free shuttle bus provided by port.- it will take you to Joliet Square in the center. Then I took a walk to Old Port. The tourist boats to the Island d'If are sold 3 hours ahead - better book them online! Electrical works take place in the castle... So I took a walk along the water to the huge St Nicolas Fort and onward to Phare Palace. Great view from the palace garden to the opposite Fort Saint Jean and huge Saint Laurent church. You can see from here every boat entering old port! That's new face of Marseille... Sunny weather, blue sea, I have a good time!
