Mar 20, 2020 10:00 PM On the one engine only...

It is Saturday morning here, but Saturday evening in Europe...
Pacific became rough, the sun is shining but the waves are much higher than yesterday, we are rocking...
Yesterday there were two "Bumps" inside the ship and the captain announced that we have a technical problem and we will arrive to Honolulu on Sunday evening only... no more.
But it is visible from the aft that we are sailing now on the one engine only...
The crew do not say us all - we have more info from the net than from our captain.
People say, that the panic Hawaians will allow to disembark in Honolulu only the citizens of State of Hawaii - even mainland Americans are not allowed!. Ha, ha, ha... I see
that the word "Solidarity" is real only in Poland! But we will see tomorrow. We do not have ill people and we are after long quarantine at sea!
The crew is also not happy - most of them will have their contracts terminated and they will go home... The level of service is getting lower.
But so far the music play here like on the "Titanic"
We will see... Greetings to all of you!

Mar 19, 2020 10:00 PM Still in the Pacific, shall we disembark or not?

We are still sailing to Honolulu, yesterday in the morning we crossed the equator - they even do not mentioned that, no any celebration. On the same day we were passing Christmas Island of Kiribati where once I spent unforgetable Christmas.
The message that Honolulu will allow us only to supply came from the media and is not confirmed by the captain - so maybe? I see that there is a lot of histeria and virus panic in Hawaii. Maybe the army will protect us to go just from the ship to the airport? This ship belongs to the big US company and the majority of passengers are Americans... Maybe we will land in the US Pearl Harbour Navy Base?
I am optimistic...
We plan to reach Honolulu on Sun March 22nd morning local time....

Mar 18, 2020 10:00 PM They do not want us in Hololulu!

Bad news in the morning: The State of Hawaii does not our passengers to disembark in Honolulu, even to go directly to the airport and fly home.
We do not have any ill people aboard, but they do not care...
According to the crew we will be able only to take water and food to sail onward but where?
It is still 3 days at sea to reach Honolulu and we have already shortage of some product like the milk or fresh vegetables...
I am OK, walking every day around the ship few kilometers.
We will see. Perhaps they will disembark us in any US military base?
Who knows...
Keep your fingers crossed, dear Friends! :)

Mar 17, 2020 10:00 PM It seems that we are saling to Hawaii

It seems that we are saling to Hawaii Our captain announced that our beautiful ship is sailing now to Honolulu, Hawaii. We should reach Hawaii on Sunday, March 22nd. So it will be more than 5 days at sea... But who knows...

Mar 16, 2020 10:00 PM Arriving beautiful PagoPago - SECOND March 16th

Arriving beautiful PagoPago - SECOND March 16th They (the crew) are also making mistakes estimating navigation time. The ocean is calm and blue. We should be at noon in Pago Pago, but we saw it only at 3 pm. The view was fantastic and all the passengers were on the open decks regardless of the strong sun.
Being here years ago for the first time I was arriving by the small plane from Western Samoa. Now I know that view from the ship is much nicer...
Pago Pago is located in the deep bay surrounded by the green mountains - it is very good storm shelter for the ships.
We will stay here all night bunkering. Great evening in the port, but they do not allowed us to go ashore...
What next?

Mar 15, 2020 10:00 PM From the deck of Flying Dutchman... March 16th first

Yesterday at 10.00 am our captain announced that we will be disembarking on Fiji in the port of Lautoka - just to be transferred quickly to the NAN airport ant fly home. My fellow passengers we running to the few available computers to book the flights. Not me...
It was right choice - at 20.00 captain announced that government of Fiji changed their mind and we are not allowed to dock in Lautoka...
It is Monday morning now. I see that we are still sailing, but nobody knows where to (except maybe the people on the isolated bridge).
I am OK, healthy and fine.. :)
Later: new news: We are sailing to Pago Pago, American Samoa - but only to take more fuel. Oh, PagoPago - I was there - at least there will be great panorama of spectacular port! Full of fuel we will PROBABLY sail to Honolulu...
We will see...
Tonight we will cross again the date line so tomorrow we will have again March 16th!

Mar 14, 2020 10:00 PM New Zealand does not want our ship!

Yesterday at 6 pm our captain announced that New Zealand is introducing new law and since midnight will close the ports.
It means that we are not allowed to go to Tauranga.
Nobody knows what we will do now.
Fortunately our ship has enough fuel, water and food to survive few days at sea.
We are feeling like on the "Flying Dutchman"
What next - who knows...
Keep the fingers crossed, dear friends!

Mar 13, 2020 10:00 PM Fiji does not want our ship!

In the night we crossed again the date line. So there was no March 13th this year!
In the morning the captain informed that Fiji closed the ports -
for now the only port who is read to accept our ship is Tauranga in New Zealand, where we should be on March 17th in the morning. Then everybody can go where he wants...
Do you have any idea? :)
Greetings from the deck of unwanted ship dear Friends!
