I just bought and fixed up a Chinese Jeep and plan to rough it around China from mid-September to mid-december. I speak some chinese, and really want to travel way off the tourist circuit for most of the trip. My current plan is to travel s-l-o-w-l-y around these places: Guangxi, hunan, hubei, henan, hebei, liaoning, jilin, heilongjian, inner mongolia, gansu, xinjiang, qunghai, sichuan and yunnan. If you are (or will be) in any of these provinces during the last 4 months of 2003, I'd love to hear from you!

after having a tremendous itch to travel, I 'm finally scratchin'. Been on the road since May '02 and have made it through Europe, Morocco, Russia and Siberia, Mongolia, and am now settled in a small town in south-west China (well, small for china --2.1 million people).. I'll be here until Mid-Sep, teaching English and struggling to master written/spoken Mandarin Chinese, then I'm off to travel round the second half of the world.
