The first huts!'s by antonioagui

Iwol - Senegal, Tambacounda After the long walk up to the village, watching some wild animals on the way (like phacochoerus and monkeys) I was so happy to finally see the first huts and some smoke from a huge pot. I waited admirating the giant historical baoab (read about it in next pictures) while my senegalese companion asked the chief for permission to enter the village. He kindly accepted me inside and answered all mi questions regarding religious, historical and social aspects. In the end I had spoken with him for almost and hour and then I was introduced to the marabu (a kind of witch). Walking aroun with him one of the boys in a group of children playing with a stick fell on the ground because of an epileptic attack. The marabu told me not to worry, and when I talked about epylepsia he replied that he didn't know about that, the only problem for the boy was a bad spirit visiting his body very oftenly.
