Bleak Hall Ice House's by aufgehts

Charleston - United States, South Carolina No, this is not a chapel! I was surprised to learn that this lovely building, built in the 1800's in Gothic Revival, is on the National Register of Historic Places and served as Bleak Hall Plantation's ice house. The building is pegged together and the walls are filled with sawdust for insulation.

The river inlet is right behind this.
