The local climate is considered as moderate. The Melbourians tell you to never worry if it rains outside because it will not last long. In fact, the weather in Melbourne does change a lot during a day. There is a saying that Melboune offers 4 seasons in one day!

The city offers an excellent public transport system. Starting from Melbourne, you have the chance to take a flight to the fantastic island of Tasmania or to head for the Great Ocean Road. Both are an absolute must if you are in this area!
