Gellért's martyrdom took place on a hill in Budapest which is now named after him. Saint Gerard Sagredo (also known as Gellert or Gerhard; c. 980 — 1046) was an Italian bishop of Basque origin who operated in the Kingdom of Hungary (specifically in Budapest), educating Saint Emeric of Hungary (the son of Saint Stephen of Hungary).
