The Lofot Islands are north of the Polarcircle in the northwest of Norway. Together with Vesteralen it's a big Peninsula and can be reached by Ferry from Bodö in the south or by Driveway via Narvik in the north. The first sign of civilization is nearly 40.000 years old and shows all the time very hard circumstances for living. Until now Fish was the reason for life on the Lofots, formerly Walefishing and today codfishing is the basic of all. A lots of Flowers, unbelievable, and plenty of birds are based on these Islands.
