Great close up! jacko1 - May, 07 2009 05:05pm This is very good pic Tom, according to my Observer's Book Of Birds this is a Goldfinch and your pic is better than the one in the book!!. Latin name carduelis carduelis Uk resident and one of the smaller and most attractive of the finches, had a sad history as a popular cage bird. It's haunt is mostly in fairly weedy places!! hehe.
