The weather can change dramatically at high altitudes and having only a summer bag could be miserable or worse. Another resource that could be of use is the Alpine Club of Canada website: http://www.alpineclubofcanada.ca/facility/info.html The alpine club maintains a number of facilities throughout the rockies which can make a traverse through the rockies more enjoyable. The huts can be reserved although non-acc members do have some limitations. I have stayed at the Neil Colgan Hut and I must say it was the most amazing 3 days of my life. I have some amazing photos of the hut and will post them on the first of October.
