Situated on the shores of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence Seaway just near the Niagara Falls, Toronto became the capital of the province of Ontario. It was a stopping point for traders and immigrants before their 104m step to/from Lake Erie. Now the largest city in Canada and a business and arts center, it offers wonderful tourist attractions and year-round events.
