Situated on the easternmost tip of Brac, Sumartin is an increasingly popular holiday resort; well placed for sightseeing excursions, boat trips to innumerable sheltered coves, inlets, shingle beaches etc. Walking and bicycle trails take off in all directions, running through ancient olive groves, vineyards and splendid Mediterranean scenery. There is much to enjoy out of season such as, for example, a visit on foot, by bicycle or boat to the beautiful deeply indented bay of Rasotica and adjacent lavender and rosemary scented village, which is now largely uninhabited.
