first of all i'm bad in english, so i'll just copy this info from one website to tell you how lovely this part of brac is:

well, i've stayed in a place called sumartin (easternmost tip of brac) in some very cool accommodation (apartment - it name was, as i recall, piter and i found it @ www.peskafondo.net). problem is that if you're with car there is not a plenty of space for cars, but i've found a free spot 50 meters from there. lovely and lonely shingle/rocky beaches, lonely inlets/coves you'll find everywhere couse it seem this part of brac is not that popular like others...
there is plenty things to enjoy: fishing with local people - they are willing to teach you how to catch fishes, squids, etc... :-) but, if you like something else there is: diving, windsurfing, soccer, basketball, cycling, waterpolo and many more...
i've been there for 2 weeks and it's not expensive at all. place is quiet, there is many thing to see on the island, like vidova gora, blaca hermitage - which is undoubtedly the most fascinating sight on brac, but the only problem is how to get there - with your own legs, is the answer. :-))
as i said, it's quite and i like it very much couse where i live, i really needed that peace, antistress pill. i would recommend this island and this place and alos few other (really quiet places, expeceally picturesque hamlet of novo selo, where only dozen of people live)...

rasotica cove, christian basilica in povlja, vidova gora, blaca monastery, kruska hill in sumartin, zlatni rat and many others wonderful spots! but the favorite spot is the cove i've found. there was nobody there whole time while i was there. me and my girlfrend. we, sun, see and nobody else. man that was wonderfull! some people talks about the bol and zlatni rat but its to crowded...

hmm, lets see. most impressive thing is blaca monastery and a view from vidova gora. OMG, view from vidova gora - magnificent panoramic view of the zlatni rat, adjacent islands, mount Biokovo on the mainland and even italian cost on a very clear day! this last one is absolutely the main thing! that view...

i've been in villa piter (found it at very good design site - www.peskafondo.net)... as i said there was problem with parking spots, but that wasn't a big problem...

this is not a nightlife. it's a waterpolo field in sumartin. this sport i veeery hard...

nightlifes? local caffe bars/night clubs/disco clubs will be very good BUT if you REALLY want to have some fun then visit very popular destinations like makarska (direct car-ferry conection from sumartin) or bol (25km)... this place is like natural relief of stress...

some of them are good, some of them aren't. my choice is bilin @ puntinak. very good food and wines...
