You can get to the Bygdøy peninsula by bus or by ferry from the Town Hall quay.
There are at least 5 museums and some are of top quality, particularly the Folk Museum [largely open air]. The first photos come from there. There are two from the Viking Ships Museum and one from the Kontiki Museum. Just imagine crossing the Pacific in that way. I am told that Heyerdahl's theory on migration to Easter Island is held in some doubt these days but it's certain that the raft you see did the job!
