Lanyon Quoit is well positioned close to the road from Madron to Morvah, marked by a National Trust sign. It is what might be called a dolmen or cromlech but has only three uprights supporting the headstone. According to the website, it was not restored to its previous form after the headstone fell after a storm in 1815. This does seem to detract from its importance somewhat but it still provides some insight into the distant past. Free.
