information about thailand  AyutthayaThailand, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya
The ruins of Ayutthaya's former capitol are a series of Temples and once covered courtyards. The bases of pillars and columns share space with foundations of crumbling chedi and stupas. These stuppas would have once been stuccoed and painted in gold leaf. With a little imagination one can get a feel for how absolutely marvelous this site once was!
