information about guatemala  El TintalGuatemala, Petén
Every camp site was set up so that the moment it rained, every drop was collected. Spouts were arranged in tarps to drain the water. There are no streams or other water sources on the 132km trail, with the exception of one very small spring on day 4. We carried in 5 gallons of water for each day, but that was shared between the five of us and used for cooking.
