Mahler Bat Palace's by eirekay

Tikal - Guatemala, Petén This portion of the North Acropolis is known as the Mahler Bat Palace because one of the two original archeologist leading a 1890 excavation actually lived in it. The Mayans are believed to have nick named it the Bat Palace and many bats can be seen in the early evening and at sunrise in the trees around it.
