Tikal - Guatemala, Petén The Nature Trail, 7 KM long, has signs periodically explaining the uses of various plants, insects and fungus. Some explained how gum was made from trees (home of the chickle tree!), dyes were made from leaves, brews were made from insects and medicines were made from everything, including this white mushroom which contains a pain reliever!
