Relief Map with a Purpose's by eirekay

Tikal - Guatemala, Petén This relief map is a MUST SEE. Placed outside the gates to the ruins in a set of low buildings that houses a cafeteria and a number of open air shops, the map is a marvelous tool both before and after walking through the ruins. It's only downside is that it shows excavated buildings as they would have been but not the many, many structures that remain unexcavated, like the unexcavated but equally tall temple that sits between Temple VI on the left and and Temple I in the center.
