information about honduras  CopanHonduras, Copán
The famed Mayan ball game was usually played by two or four players garbed in rubber or stone hip guards. The small rubber ball, thought to be the size of a tennis ball, was bounced off the hip guards on to the sloped walls and either through a ring or against markers such as these parrot ones in the Grand Plaza of Copan.
