Instead of placards, we saw these ads for Daniel Ortega spray painted on to walls on every street. In speaking with locals, we learned that you are pressured into allowing the political party that is in power to place these on your building and the owner later, after the election, bears the cost to paint over them. Vans blare ads from megaphones every afternoon while driving through traffic.
