Hi there,
there seems to be an error with login times that occurs under rare occasions. Sometimes the last login time is displayed as from 1970. Unfortunately I could not located a current example. All last login dates look currently fine. However members made me aware of this in the last time. Until now this has not been a real problem, but now it spoils GLOBOtime.
Please post a reply here if you see a profile with incorrect last login date. If you already made the experience yourself post your feedback as well. Like I said the error seems to occur only in special situations which makes it very hard to duplicate and identify it. Any hints are appreciated.
Best regards,
andy

Hi Andy,
I remember that this error occurred regularly back in 2004-2005 usually in the middle of the month and after some kind of server reset or old method of backup. One noticed first that the 24-hour review listed ALL the last 50 items and also that some member login dates were set to "Thursday 1st January 1970". I assume that those members never logged off or couldn't log off when the system was reset and the system logged 1970 as a default time! This is logical because that date seems to effect only active members, is set to the correct date when they log in (or out) again.
When/if each member eventually logs in again I think this problem will solve itself!
I looked at member profiles on pages 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 of the member list an found only one for our case, "cinpos", only 1/100!
www.globosapiens.net/profiles/2000341891.html
Another related problem : One cannot write a travel log ("GLOBOblog") entry before this date! See for example my first entry at the bottom of the page:
www.globosapiens.net/travellog/rangutan.html?de=&page=4.html?cc=
It seems that the GLOBOsystem thinks the universe was created that day :-) and uses 1970 for all cases when a date is unclear, like a "default" date.

Fixed. Thank you everybody for the help.
Unfortunatelly three GLOBO time infos have been affected, I had to reset the GLOBO time of Marianne, Mistyblue and of el2395. I have assigned 1 hour of GLOBO time as a start value. I hope you do not mind, the feature is new and I believe this is a fair starter.
Best regards,
Andy
PS: Interestingly the leading member with GLOBO time is one that is usually not in the hitlist. That shows that this feature can become really interesting. With 5h 54min 43s Zellah is leading way ahead of the next member.

Hi David,
I can not see that this error is occurring again. Your travel site looks OK. We where talking about an error which caused to the "last login date" to jump to 1970. This should not happen again. I do not understand how the link to your travel report is relevant. I assume you mean another error. If so, please confirm this within that post and open a new one with the error you are experiencing.
Thank you in advance,
Andy

Hi Andy
Sorry, but it was unquestionably the error you mention - and I gave the url because that was the one on which it came up. I was only trying to be helpful - if it wasn't, forget it.

Hi David,
I believe there is a misunderstanding. The link you have posted leads to your travel report on Chester. Can you please describe the error you are experiencing? I am asking because the data should be on this site:
http://www.globosapiens.net/davidx where the login date shows correctly todays date:
Last login: Monday October 22th, 2007
Best regards,
andy
