information about china  Mount KailashChina, Tibet
Mt Kailash which is called Kang Rinpoche by the Tibetans stands at an altitude of 6714 metres.
It is a near perfect conical summit, ir remains a spectacular sight from any angle you look at it. To each side is attributed a precious Jewel. The south is commenly called Sapphire face. The east is the Crystal face. The west face is ruby and the north is gold (a colours it adopts during sunset or sunrise). I tis a sacred site both for Indous and Buddhists who will walk around the mountain clockwise. Also 4 majors rivers are born from its summit.
