The Haus der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland is a museum of the German contemporary history from 1945 to the present. It also has special and travelling exhibition. It also houses and an information centre. It is very good, lively, and informative. You not only see history but also hear it. In the cellar you find Adenauer's train and excavations of Roman times.
