Hi KTM Kitten!

Namaste! I am glad to see your post. I have been to Nepal on 7 trips, and love the people & mountains. I spent over a year total in Himal region - Tibet, India, & mostly Nepal. I have close Sherpa & Nepali friends there. One couple own & teach in a small English school in KTM, across from Buddhanath Stupa, and are looking for English-speaking volunteers for teaching - weeks or months. If you have contacts that need Everest Trek info, please contact me.

Ever eat at KC Retaurant, or Mikes Restaurant [old location best, across from Hotel Annapurna]. Did you go to Chitiwan? Everest Trek? Hotel Annapurna Folk[show? - forgot name!] Hotel Garuda, & Ang Dawa Lodge in Bhandar are my '2nd homes'! [I installed first solar lighting system in Bhandar at AD Lodge; later wired all 13 rooms for micro-hydro 220V AC lights, sharing 1 kw with 4 orther lodge.]

In addition, check http://www.kidsworldwide.org to see many places to volunteer in Asia (and elsewhere) where you only pay the project directly (ie. no middle man) for your food and board.
