Marianne, Rudi, thank you for your kind words. Indeed the cafeteria of castle Neuschwanstein allows an excellent look over the place. In winter the place is not overcrowded and you have the chance to drink a Glühwein and have some cake or pie. Although touristic the cafe is ok. The picture itself was shot through a window with a really small camera. I could compensate this with "good luck" from Picasa. ;-)

Congratulations on Picture of the Month! I went there 30 years ago (is it really that long ago?) on a school trip to Munich. Brings back memories.

A clear day! I lived close to Neuschwanstein and know that view very well. I also know how often there are clouds, haze, rain, or fog in the area. I never got a photo that clear...good job!
