Montamarta - Spain There are many cemeteries along the Camino. Some of them are mainly devoted to the pilgrims died during their pilgrimage. You can read up in the sign: Aquí termina el Reino de la VANIDAD y empieza el Reino de la eterna VERDAD, what means: Here finish the Kingdom of the VANITY and starts the Kingdom of the eternal TRUTH. Further down, it reads like a joke: Al salir cerrar la puerta. Gracias, what means: Close the door when you go out. Thank you. But… the dead can’t leave the cemetery, nor close the door!
