Church erected by Italian prisoners of war's by jorgesanchez

Kirkwall - United Kingdom Italian soldiers captured in North Africa during WWII used raw material to construct this lovely church in Orkney Is. Today is a national monument.

I learnt that the italian ex-prisoners of war had been invited to vist Kirskwall after the war finished. Now, Kirkwall and the village of the main artist are cities sisters. I think the main artist was from the Lago Como, in Lombardia.
